PVV problems no influence on the coalition, says prime minister

Media reports about the criminal pasts and lies told by MPs from the PVV are not destabilising the coalition government, prime minister Mark Rutte said on Friday.

PVV parliamentarians are ‘very correct and their signatures are good,’ Rutte said at his weekly press conference.

Rutte’s minority VVD and Christian Democrat government has an alliance with the anti-Islam party. The PVV has agreed to support the government’s plans to cut spending bya €18bn in return for tougher immigration rules.
