THE HAGUE, 20/07/10 – The population of Geert Wilders has reached a record high. His Party for Freedom (PVV) has reached the highest level ever in Maurice de Hond’s latest weekly poll.

If elections were held now, the PVV would win 35 seats in the Lower House, 11 more than it won in the 9 June general elections. Its previous high dates from 9 April 2009, when it would have won 33 seats, according to De Hond.

The PVV gains are mainly at the expense of the VVD. Among those who voted for this party on 9 June, only 65 percent would do that again now. As a result the VVD dropped from 31 to 23 seats.
