Lessons from Pim

My friend Eeyore at Vlad Tepes has recently been focusing a little bit on the Dutch establishment’s treatment of the late Pim Fortuyn, a gay hedonist politician who was demonised as a race-baiting hatemonger and subsequently murdered by a man who thought he was actually doing society a favor.

The correlations between the Dutch establishment’s treatment of Pim Fortuyn then, and their treatment of Geert Wilders now, is fairly obvious – although of course there are differences between the two men.
