A notice of objection submitted by you will be handled on the date and time as specified in the summons. In case of dismissal the Court can directly proceed with deliberation of the case.

THE HAGUE, Nov 30, 2009 (AFP) – The head of the Netherlands far-right Freedom Party, Geert Wilders, called on Monday for his government to allow a Swiss-style referendum to ban minaret-building.

“Congratulations to Switzerland on the magnificent result of the minarets referendum! What can be done in Switzerland, can be done here,” he said on his party’s web site after 57.5 percent of Swiss on Sunday adopted the minaret ban.

“We will call on the government to make such a referendum possible in the The Netherlands,” he told the ANP news agency.

The planned visit of a parliamentary delegation to Turkey has been cancelled.

The MPs have unanimously decided to cancel the visit after the Turkish government said it would not meet with any of the delegates because of the presence of Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders among them.

The public prosecutor in Rotterdam has demanded a 60 day jail term or 120 hours of community service for a Dutch rapper who threatened anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders. The Freedom Party leader was present as a witness in the heavily guarded courtroom.

According to the prosecutor, the rapper who goes by the name of Mo$heb threatened Mr Wilders in the text of his rap Who is Next (Wie Iz De Volgende). In the track which is on the web Mo$heb says it will be “bam, bam” if he should happen to run into Mr Wilders.
