AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – A Turkish hacker has defaced dozens of Dutch websites with pro-Islamic slogans and pictures of right-wing politician Geert Wilders edited to make him look like a monkey, a website that tracks hackers said.
Wilders, a former insurance worker turned politician and filmmaker, takes an anti-EU, anti-Islamist stand and leads the Freedom Party which is widely tipped to come first or second in next year’s Dutch parliamentary elections.
The hacker, who goes by the name “aLpTurkTegin”, wrote on some of the sites “Our war will continue against the ones who are against the real religion Islam”. On some pages the hacker posted a logo calling him- or her-self “Turkish Defacer”.
The pictures of Wilders vary, but generally depict his nose and/or mouth replaced with those of a monkey.
According to the website Zone-H, which tracks hacking attacks, aLpTurkTegin defaced at least 147 sites in the last 7 days, most of them with anti-Wilders pages. The last recorded attacks were on Friday.

SECRET SERVICE SHUT EM DOWN by Bill Warner investigator” Bill Warner writes:

Yes, it only took five days to jump from snitching about dissent on health insurance reform to making up wild accusations about “incitement to hate by others and the possible murder of President Barack Obama.” A quote attributed to Joseph Goebbels, a Propaganda Minister in Nazi Germany reads:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
Bill Warner may not be a good P.I. (as he claims to be) or not a good bar fighter and martial artist (as he claims to be), but he has certainly mastered the art of Nazi propaganda.
Well – some people are more adept than others. Personally, I think once you’ve mastered that art, you’ve already lost…
Yet you keep posting links to a Nazi who projects his bigotry onto Geert Wilders.
I just post links to whoever’s talking about Geert – their politics, however odious, don’t matter. I leave that up to the reader to decide.
Then maybe you should rethink you blog title. Bashing Geert Wilders doesn’t really fit into “Defend Geert Wilders” mantra.
Well, yes and no. I think that the main message of this blog is that Geert Wilders should have freedom of speech, that he shouldn’t be prosecuted for his film, or his words. so in that sense, this blog is about Defending him.
But at the same time, I’m not particularly defending the man himself. I’m sympathetic to Geert Wilders’ cause, but I’ll leave it up to others, who, quite frankly, probably know more about European and Dutch politics than I do, to Defend him personally. Although of course, I’d be more than happy to link to anybody who is doing so.
All Warner does is call him a Nazi. There is no useful information in his posts, just plain Wilders-bashing.
You’re right – but I still like to give as wide a spectrum of opinion as possible. If anything, I think Bill serves as an example of some of the lunatic fringe that seems to hate Geert so much.
For people who know who Wilders really is – yes. Unfortunately, most people think of Wilders as a Nazi because that’s how he has been portrayed in the MSM, and for them Warner comes off as a reasonable guy, not the lunatic he is; Warner’s demented rants reinforce MSM’s claims.
Right – but I’m just trying to serve as a news aggregator ( although some injected opinion isn’t uncalled for ). I’m happy to link to somebody’s arguments against people like Warner, but I’m just trying to serve as a hub of news and opinion surrounding Geert Wilders – not the source of that news or opinion 🙂

Right – that’s why the blog title is misleading. Something like “Geert Wilders News” would be more appropriate. Your blog neither defends Geert Wilders no advocates for his defense.
The central idea behind the blog was to serve as a news aggregator so that people could come to this site and be able to find the information that they needed to know about Geert Wilders, and about Geert Wilders’ prosecution. That’s why I put it together. So it is about Defending Geert Wilders – just not in the sense that I, personally, am providing his defense with every post.
